The Role:
- Working within a Purchasing team
- Responsible for ensuring all orders and parts are placed and delivered within timescales required
- Order processing and order administration
- Processing account opening forms
- Order progressing
- Assisting with stock management and stock control
- Shipping & Import Tracking & Management
- Liaising with Vendor Supply Chain
- Supporting Warehouse with Booking In & Out issues
- Quotation administration
- Price list administration & conversion
- Updating and sanitising system information including product information and new contacts
- Answering incoming calls, dealing with pricing enquiries, queries and transferring calls
- Progressing enquiries from customers to enable to enquiry to progress to a quote
- Chase quote status to obtain the order and/or distinguish the status of the quote
- Dealing with supplier and customer queries to progress the order
- Negotiating
Skills and Attributes required:
- Excellent communication skills (telephone and email)
- Ability to infuence and build strong supplier relations
- Confident in dealing with deadlines and working under pressure
- Strong PC skills in all Microsoft packages
- Strong organisational skills
- Accurate data entry and attention to detail
- Customer account management, purchasing or sales experience
- Dealing with supplier and customer queries to progress the order
- Experience in using Sage 50 or similar
