Warehouse Supervisor

You will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the warehouse.
Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of people within the warehouse function,
to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements,
ensuring that staff comply with health, safety, and standard operating procedures.
Responsible for housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the
warehouse.
The Role:
Supervise, coordinate and undertake daily warehouse activities including
receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient
delivery of goods and securing the warehouse
Manage, lead, engage and develop your team identifying individual strengths,
skills, experience and aspirations to motivate and ensure delivery of the required
levels of performance
Communicate expectations and monitor the performance of your team, identifying
training and development needs
Allocate tasks within the warehouse to ensure the daily workload can be carried
out to achieve the warehouse KPI’s
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving,
identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of products meets
customers timescales/requirements
Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in
line with the Company’s procedures and requirements
Identify areas of improvement and adjust existing work procedures and practices
where required
Manage warehouse consumable stock levels
Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities
Ensure Health and Safety is at the forefront of all operations, and that Health and
Safety policies are adhered to
Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities
Skills and Attributes required:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience of managing a small team
Qualification in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
Fork Lift Truck experience
The Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:30 to 17:00
